"Yeah." She said sighing and nodding. "We just both liked different people too." She said not hoping he wouldn't ask her about the last thing she just said.

"Oh..." Harry said, looking down. Why did that bother him? Ginny was allowed to date whomever she pleased... he didn't have any say in that...

"Pretty pointless on my half though." She said a little bitterly. "He doesn't even know I like him... even though it's completely obvious. Dean has a chance with who he likes seeing as she also likes him."

Harry shook his head and looked over at him. "Bollocks," he said, wondering how she could possibly think someone wouldn't like her. "Any guy would be lucky to have caught your eye," he said with a nod before he realized what he had said, looking away, he tried to ignore the slight blush that threatened to turn his face pink...

She looked over at him, with a raised eyebrow, not sure she heard what he had just said correctly. That was until she saw that he had started to blush a little. Her confused look got a little more confused, but it was also followed by a small smile. "Are you blushing?"

"Of course not," he lied, a nervous grin coming across his features as he continued looking into the water. Now he understood everything he'd been thinking... and he wasn't sure it was very good. In fact, he was almost positive that Ron would want to kill him if he found out... not that he hadn't been trying to push Ginny on Harry just the year before.

She rolled her eyes slightly as her smile got a little bigger. "Right, if you say so." She said with a small shrug, looking back in front of her. She watched the water below for a few moments before glancing back over at him. "You're a terrible liar... just so you know." She said smiling a little more and looking back at the water.

"Yeah... Snape used to enjoy reminding me of that one..." he said, putting a hand up in a nervous and vain attempt to flatten his hair in the back.

She smiled even more, looking over at him. "So you were blushing then." She said matter-of-factly. "Why though?" She asked, now curiously.

"Just... a thought," he said, staring intently at the surface of the water. He couldn't believe himself. This was suppposed to be Ginny. Ron's sister, Ginny. She was supposed to be like family to Haryy, not like... whatever he was seeing her as...

She sighed and shook her head. "You know, you have got to be about the most vague person I have ever met." She shook her head once again. She really wanted to know why he had been blushing and him not tell her was just making her even more curious then she had been before.

Harry laughed softly. "Why, thank you," he joked. "But seriously... you shouldn't worry about someone not liking you, Gin," he said, looking back at her now. He really didn't want to be helping her get a new boyfriend but... whatever made her happy would be enough for him.

Ginny went to argue with that point but she couldn't. She couldn't just say that the guy was her brother's best friend so of course he wouldn't notice her any other way except in that one. No, that would've made it far more obvious and she wasn't sure if making it more obvious would help. She just shook her head. "I really don't think I agree with you."

"Trust me, Harry said, going out on a limb a bit, "you're perfect. You've got nothing to worry about." At that, he turned his head again, putting all of his attention on the running water. He couldn't tell if it was because he wanted to dismiss any argument or because he was embarrassed.

Ginny sighed and stood up. "Obviously not perfect enough." She mumbled bitterly under her breath, walking over to a tree that was only a few feet behind where they had already been sitting. She sat down against the trunk and shook her head slightly. She was convinced that he only said that because he was trying to comfort her, she had no clue if he meant that or not.
