"Malfoy" she said wincing as she touched her black eye or at least attempted to. She lowered her gaze to the floor as she turned around, tears falling down her cheeks silently as she kept her eyes on the floor.

"That git." Ron said, firing up at once. "I swear, the next time I see him..." But, he trailed off, and seemed to lose his passion. He lowered his gaze to the floor as well and shrugged half-heartedly. "Actually, might as well get your boyfriend to do it. I'm sure he could take him, muggle-style."

She looked up at him "Lance? Lance isn't capable of that...besides Malfoy only did this because I tormented him" she said covering her face with her hair "Now I can't even remember the spell to heal myself"

"Don't look at me." Ron said moodily, laying back down on his bed and turning his head towards the wall once again, refusing to look at her. "I can't even transfigure a rat yet." He wrapped his arms around his pillow, back to being upset now that he knew she would be alright.

She shook her head and looked over at the door, debating whether or not to ask someone else. After a few minutes she walked out the door and down the hall, heading for Ginny's room. After a bit, Hermione walked back in and started packing her stuff, tears still falling down her cheeks as she emptied out her dresser, shoving everything into her bag.

Ron heard the drawers open and close, and closed his eyes, willing himself not to hurt so much. "Who's moving in here, then?" he asked once the noise had stopped and knowing that she was leaving.

"'Bye, then." Ron said simply, his eyes still clamped shut, his back towards her. Hermione has a boyfriend. Hermione Granger has a boyfriend. There was no way she could fix something like this... He should have seen this coming. Had he been naive enough to think she had liked him? How stupid...

She sighed and walked over to him, leaning down over him and pressing her lips against the corner of his lips "Ron I do like you I really do its...just I never noticed that you liked me" she whispered, turning back to her stuff.

Ron froze at her touch, his brain thinking everything and nothing at the exact same time. Weird how that worked sometimes... "Would you stop saying that?" he snapped, once he had come back to his senses. "You have a boyfriend, Hermione."

But you find yourself a bloody boyfriend when we're stuck together in a room, the perfect time when we could have hit it off or something! For such a bright witch, you're so stupid!"
