Harry wished she wouldn't sleep on the beach. They didn't even know if there were people originally on the island and if they were friendly or not. He wouldn't question her, though. This was Luna, after all.
"I think I'm in a room with Ginny," he said with just a hint of a smile on his face. He had gone and asked the teachers after talking to Lavender.

Luna nodded in response. "Ginny is nice, though I've never really talked to her. From a distance, she seems nice." She looked back up at the sky and tried to pick shapes out of the clouds. "I can't wait to see the stars at night, I bet they'll be beautiful out here."

Harry nodded. "Yeah, you're probably right," he said, looking up at her comment about the stars. Ginny was the first person he knew to be nice to Luna... and she was also the reason he knew her. It had been Ginny's idea to sit with her on the train and if it wasn't for her, he would have wandered aimlessly looking for an empty compartment.

She nodded with a smile playing on her lips. "I watched the stars a lot back home...getting locked out of my dorm was common, so I'd just sleep under the stars. They never fail to amaze me, how bright they are, and how beautiful, nothing compares to their radience." she said, shaking her head slightly.

Harry frowned slightly but he tried to hide it. Looking away, he asked, "Are you much into Astronomy?" He knew that Luna was bright, or she wouldn't have made it into Ravenclaw. He just didn't know her interests outside of the strange things she read in the Quibbler.

"What's wrong?" she asked, having looked over and seen the look on his face. "Why are you frowning?" she questioned, sitting up and leaning on her elbow. "And yes, I do like astronomy. It's my favorite class back at school." she said with a nod, giving him a small smile.

Harry shook his head and said, "It's nothing.. don't worry about it." He didn't want to talk to her about how mean everyone was to her. He liked the fact that she was so optimistic and he wanted to keep it that way. Harry set his eyes on the ground and began to make meaningless marks in the sand beneath him.

"No, what is it?" she asked, insisting that he tell her what was wrong. She looked over at him and frowned slightly as she waited for an answer. She bit the inside of her cheek slightly andplayed with a bit of sand, letting it flow through her fingers and then drop back down onto the beach.

Harry looked over at her and smiled, shaking his head again. He lay back in the sand, looking up absently at the clouds. “I wonder when we’re going to start training,” he said for a change of subject. He didn’t doubt that they would still continue regardless of what took place. The teachers wouldn’t waste the time they wee going to have to spend there anyway.

"Alright, fine. Don't tell me." she said, laying back down in the sand. She shrudded in response to his abrupt subject change and followed a cloud across the sky with her eyes. "I don't know..." she said, squinting as the sun hit her face and made it hard for her to see.

Harry smiled as he looked up at the clouds. "I told you," he said, "It's nothing. I was just... thinking." He really wished he could've come up with a better explanation than that without having to tell her the truth but that would just have to do.
